TPAV Case Win #1329 - Serious Misconduct Allegations Dropped

Written by TPAV | Feb 8, 2023 5:31:28 AM

This was a case where a TPAV member was facing allegations at their school. Being accused of serious misconduct (unrelated to child protection) can be a dreadful and overwhelming experience. It can feel like your entire career and reputation is on the line.

Uncertain on how to handle the investigation, our member reached out to TPAV for support. A case manager was assigned, who thoroughly investigated the allegations made. In consultation with our member they prepared a comprehensive defence, writing a lengthy letter that addressed and refuted the allegations.

As a result, the allegations were found to be unsubstantiated and were dropped, with no further action taken against the teacher.

It can be easy to feel alone and helpless when facing an investigation of misconduct, that’s why the TPAV always has your back. Our case managers are knowledgeable, experienced, and dedicated to protecting the rights of our members.

Why is the TPAV different? We believe that real change in education STARTS with empowering frontline teachers, not bureaucrats.

If you are a member of TPAV and need assistance with allegations please submit a member support ticket on your dashboard, or contact us on 1300 252 777 - hotline@tpavic.asn.au
